Welcome to BetterScreens! These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BetterScreens ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the BetterScreens mobile application (the "Service").

By downloading, accessing, or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Description of Service
   BetterScreens is a mobile application designed to help you manage your screen time and app usage. The Service utilizes an on-device VPN profile to filter and delay network requests locally on your device. No network data is sent to us or any third party as part of this core functionality. The Service may offer both free features and premium features available through a subscription.
2. License to Use Our Service (New/Updated)
   Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and install a copy of the BetterScreens application on a mobile device that you own or control and to run such copy of the application solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
   Certain features of the Service may be offered on a subscription basis ("Subscription").
   Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (such as monthly or yearly), depending on the subscription plan you select. All payments are processed through Apple's App Store.
   Automatic Renewal: Your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it through your Apple ID account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
   Cancellations: If you cancel your Subscription, you will retain access to the premium features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for the current period.
   Free Trial: We may offer a Subscription with a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fees.
   Fee Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription fees. Any fee change will become effective at the end of the then-current billing cycle. We will provide reasonable notice of any fee changes.
4. User Conduct and Restrictions
   You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:
   • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Service.
   • Use the Service for any unlawful or malicious purpose.
   • Modify, adapt, or hack the Service or otherwise attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
   • Sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer your rights to the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
   The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of BetterScreens and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
6. Termination
   We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service and the license granted herein will immediately cease.
7. Indemnification (New)
   You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BetterScreens and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
   The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranty of any kind. We explicitly disclaim any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, or non-infringement. We make no warranty that the Service will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis.
9. Limitation of Liability
   In no event shall BetterScreens be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us, if any, in the last twelve (12) months.
10. Dispute Resolution (New)
    Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of [Your State, e.g., California], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
    Arbitration: You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration.
    No Class Actions: You agree that you may only resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or a class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
11. Severability and Waiver (New)
    If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the other provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. The failure of us to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
12. Entire Agreement (New)
    These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire and exclusive agreement between you and BetterScreens regarding the Service, and these Terms supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.
13. Changes to These Terms
    We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice. By continuing to use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
